in Section: "Characters, metacharacters and escaping (or quoting)"
in txt file is
In literal parts, alphanumeric characters always stand for themselves: the pattern "literal part with 中国文字" matches exactly the string "literal part with 中国文字" ("中国文字" means "chinese text".)
but in HelpFile (CHM) is:

I choose that for making it clear that the character range extends beyond ANSI.
I don't know where the help source UTF8 text submitted got emasculated to ANSI within the production chain.
