Hi, Flag = 1 and 2 already return the offset after the capture group for 3,4 it is better the user can use the return offset in @rxtended and loop with it if needed that what is done in the propose fix sent to Jon - 2:38 PM Ticket #3515 (Assigning directly a value to an element of an array in array) closed by

- 12:22 PM Ticket #2370 (StringReplace & StringRegExpReplace Add Offset\The starting position ...) updated by
- in fact the main problem comes from the case sensitivity checking so only this will be fixed
- 12:08 AM Ticket #2370 (StringReplace & StringRegExpReplace Add Offset\The starting position ...) updated by
- analysing carefully lead me to this conclusion as the example does not reproduce the return behavior of StringReplace but itis true that the StringRegReplace divide bt around 10 so StringReplace internally it is good that it call StringRegReplace the gain of introducing and offset is very limited some percent with very big string so I propose not to add it but just implement the inernal call in StringReplace […]

- Rejected: "Fixing" this problem results in a script breaking change. Changing the order of the returned data does not add any value to the function but a lot of work for existing users. If the user reads the documentation he can easily see the difference in the returned data of the two functions.

- FrancoDM, You really have proved to be an extremely unpleasant person during your short time on the forum - constantly complaining that AutoIt does not work exactly as YOU want it to do and generally insulting the Mods and Devs who volunteer to keep the forum and language alive. Best you change your tone quickly or you might find you will be unable to annoy us for a while, or perhaps ever again. The ball is in your court - so play your next shot very carefully. As to your points here: you are basically asking for the 3 functions you mention to act on array elements as well as specific variable names. So why call it a bug? Particularly as the Help file for Assign specifically excludes array elements as arguments. As you wish it to do so it would seem more logical to have opened a "Feature request" - but no doubt our Trac system is also not working as YOU would wish. I have therefore amended the ticket for you. M23
