[SOLVED] Windows 7 update problem

For a long time on different computers with Windows 7, I note problems with updates.
But this time it's just an exaggeration.

I reinstalled the client notebook, using the tool from HP created a DVD with the installation of the system and a second DVD with drivers.

System installation went smoothly.
Driver Installation was difficult, because the original installer did not see any driver and I had to manually move from directory to directory.
In fact, so far I installed only WiFi, and VGA, and antivirus ESET Smart Security.

So at this stage I began the process of updating windows ....................................... .........................

....................................... .........................

....................................... .........................

....................................... .........................

....................................... .........................

And I stuck with this .

Windows Update after several hours of collection, not even shows a list of available updates.

 

So I look on the internet .... and found a lot of suggestions for solutions, unfortunately neither worked.
 

Question: Can someone, provide a link to the description of "proven" solutions for Windows 7 update problems ?

Do you get 100% CPU usage by svchost.exe?
What is the command line for this exe then?

I had a similar problem some time ago and found a web site where I found a solution.

I'm not sure about CPU usage, as this is my client "home" notebook, which he brings to the office to reinstall system, which I do, but update process was made by him self.
I can ask him via SMS but he must try again so I think that I can not get the answer at the moment.

Can you provide link ? I will check it when it will be possible.

@mLipok Not sure if clearing the datastore (flush the datastore folder section of article) is one of the fixes you tried, but I've done that before with success.

I solve the problem about 15 November but I had not time to write about it here.

Today I have little free time so I want to share my experience How I solve the problem.
You can think : "He just use WSUS OFFLINE UPDATER tool", but this was not all what I do to solve the problem.
 

So firstly I say that this was a quite fast notebook with Intel I5 processor (HP ProBook), but with standard HDD (not SSD). In my case all was starting from WIndows reinstall. So I use HP recovery tools to prepare 2 DVD's. First DVD with Windows and second with drivers.

The problems starts when I was not able to simply click to install all drivers because tools on drivers DVD simply do not recognize hardware !
So I just only install WiFi and GFX card. Next I install AV software, and go to windows Update .....
For first shot Windows Update successfully download about 90 upgrades and successfully instaled them.

But then this problem appears, and I was not more luck with Windows Update.

This is what you should do when you want to succesfully reinstall and update Windows1. You should start from instaling 

1. Install windows
2. Install all drivers
3. update windows
4. If you run into the same problem then try to turn disk caching and disable the "emptying the write buffer" on the drive with windows.
   Disc operation greatly accelerate but in principle it is not secure. In this way I was able to install all Windows Update.

 

As you can see the problem was a disk write performance.
