Bumping this topic to see if anyone had any luck with this method running in Windows 8.1. I wish this still worked. Windows 8.1 and maybe Windows 8 doesn't work.  The Kiosk mode opens up a IE in what looks like app mode (or whatever the new term is for the full screen mode)

I would love more if they had a simple way to embed (Firefox) the FF.au3. 

Crossing fingers someone has a solution.
