Suirad Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 i was trying out the timer functions. it seems that when i try to use timerdiff() in an if statement nothing happens. example code: $time = TimerInit() While 1 if TimerDiff($time) = 3000 then Exit WEnd anyone mind commenting on this or if im doing something wrong?
Inverted Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 (edited) Hehehe, $time = TimerInit() While 1 if TimerDiff($time) >= 3000 then Exit WEnd You'd have to be really lucky to actually hit 3000ms Edited June 12, 2009 by Inverted
stampy Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 $time = TimerInit()While 1 if TimerDiff($time) > 3000 then ExitWEndVery little chance it's going to test it at exactly 3 seconds.
Suirad Posted June 12, 2009 Author Posted June 12, 2009 $time = TimerInit() While 1 if TimerDiff($time) >= 3000 then Exit WEnd You'd have to be really lucky to actually hit 3000ms i want it to trigger at ~3 sec lol i see now. so considering the delay, what would be a reasonable time for when to check for to make it near 3 sec? 3000-3500ms?
MrCreatoR Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Imho, 2999.9999 is your best shot: $iTimer = TimerInit() While 1 ;Sleep(1) $iTimer_Diff = TimerDiff($iTimer) If $iTimer_Diff > 2999.9999 Then Exit MsgBox(64, 'Test', 'TimerDiff: ' & $iTimer_Diff) WEnd Spoiler Using OS: Win 7 Professional, Using AutoIt Ver(s): 3.3.6.1 / 3.3.8.1 AutoIt Russian Community My Work... Inverted Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 If some stuff is inside the loop, then the loop gets slower and the timing checks more "rare" It also depends on OS and PC performance and load.
