CASK
Hi all, I am a newbie to autoit. So iam finding it a little difficult to get through certain controls. I have a window in my application which has a grid with values. I would like to retrive the values from the grid and set the required value from the list. Now the problem is the list is recognised as a "ListViewWndClass" and it is not returning a control ID. Any suggestions to retrive the values from the grid.scshot.doc

Any suggestions to retrive the values from the grid.I would try the functions in GuiListView.au3. Try _GUICtrlListView_GetItemCount using the handle shown in AutoItInfo as a simple test. You should be able to get the handle using ControlGetHandle($windowTitle,"","[CLASSListViewWndClass; INSTANCE:1]") EDIT: Welcome to the AutoIt forums CASK Edited May 27, 2009 by martin Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script. CASK
Thanks Martin, I was able to fix the issue with "Controllistview". Ran into an other problem, I have a grid with multiple columns . I am able to get the Item ans Sub-item count for the grid. But I am not able to get the text or values. Searched the forum and found that there is a limitation for autoit with Grids. Is there and workaround for this. Can you please direct me to the right direction. chenpassion
