See here, I hereby made this a new topic, 'cause nobody seems to have read my question.

If otherwise, this post can be deleted, but after several weeks of searching for the solution I'm pretty about to despair.

It is because the new 3.3 AutoITX DLL uses Unicode and not Ansi strings. Try using version 3.2.12.1 of the AutoItX.dll and your problem will be solved.
