And what about this example:

#include <Misc.au3>

$hUser32 = DllOpen("User32.dll")

While 1
    If _IsPressed("5a", $hUser32) Then MsgBox(0, "", "")
    Sleep(10)
WEnd

DllClose($hUser32)
same deal, doesnt work on msn....BUT again...will work anywhere else, but then again so will the one I showed....

I use Vista Sp1.... if that matters....

doesnt work on msn

Perhaps it uses some sort of keys hook (when the window is active) and the DllCall fails in AutoIt script... anyone else can reproduce this problem, or maybe you can check it on other system, xp for example?

Perhaps it uses some sort of keys hook (when the window is active) and the DllCall fails in AutoIt script... anyone else can reproduce this problem, or maybe you can check it on other system, xp for example?

Can anyone test this for us? Pretty please w/ a cherry on top? or am I the only one thats fucked? lol

In reviewing the post, I may suggest a test to see if this fixes it -

Instead of ripping out what you want from the misc.au3 to your script, just include it and remark out what you ripped out in the first place.

Test it to see of it works. If it does, then the problem is what you are taking out of the misc.au3. Personally, I also try to keep my scripts small, but in this day and age, having a file that is under 1MB is not a big deal. Odds are your script is under 200KB. A few more KB won't matter much.

Let me know what happens after you do this. If this doesn't work, we cal look at seeing if something has changed with MSN messenger.

Edit - When using the {autoit] tag to post code in the forum, sometimes it will corrupt the code that is displayed in the forum.

hmmm, I don't have a vista PC to test with. Dumb question, but you put 5a. Try 5A. I wonder if it being in caps makes any difference.

at this point, I am willing to try anything haha... but, unfortunately, nope...

maybe Jon edited something in autoit's coding?

Now, a second thought in making a work around is to make a Microsoft Virtual PC and load XP on it.
