BoonPek
Hello! There's a bug with the Hiding and Showing. When you press Ctrl+Alt+Space with the Settings/About GUIs open, only the Main GUI gets hidden. Try hiding the indivual GUIs.
AoRaToS
That isn't supposed to happen, I'd fixed that ages ago, can you try again? JackDinn can you check that out? s!mpL3 LAN Messenger Current version 2.9.9.1 [04/07/2019] s!mpL3 LAN Messenger.zip s!mpL3
AoRaToS
s!mpL3 LAN Messenger version 2.9.6.51. Added "Sounds" in the settings, you can choose what sounds to play (.wav, .mp3) when receiving text, shakes e.t.c. 2. When you click on "Path:" in all Sound sections the selected sound will play. 3. Added command line switches. Only one at the moment, /as will pop-up message windows and play sounds when hidden. (requested by JackDinn) 4. Clean Up is back, in the Maintenance tab. 5. Fixed a few bugs. 1. Message box bug found by (JackDinn). Fixed so that the message boxes don't show when hidden and also added the program name in the title. 2. Focus bug. When hidden and you received something, the hidden window would take focus from the window you were working on. 3. Other, less important bug fixes. BoonPek
I don't know why this happens to me. I tested this on Windows XP x86 SP3/SP2 Professional, Windows Vista Business/Home Premium x86 SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x86/Home Premium x64 and they all produced the same results. This bug only happens when you are not connected. While connected, all GUIs hide and show properly. I've tested this software on more than 20 computers, and all of them seem to have this bug. JackDinn
yea hes right , now he said its when its not connected it can be reproduced In actual fact when i tested it, i disconnected , opened the settings & hit Ctrl+Alt+Space my comp froze for about 30 secs and then came back to life. It then hid the main window and yes it left behind the settings and about boxes. Thx all,Jack Dinn. BoonPek
I think it would be better to make buttons in the "Sounds" tab to check/uncheck all as there are quite a lot of checkboxes. Also, the About box moves in relation to the main GUI.
JackDinn
I think it would be better to make buttons in the "Sounds" tab to check/uncheck all as there are quite a lot of checkboxes. Yea but then you couldn't easily turn on/off individual sounds, maybe and another button "check/uncheck" all Also, the About box moves in relation to the main GUI.maybe AoRaToS will sort that maybe not , its not really something that's gonna bother anyone im sure :-/ Thx all,Jack Dinn. BoonPek
There may be a workaround for your problem that occurs while shaking. You could use the options "Opt("GUIEventOptions", 1)" and "Opt("GUIEventOptions", 0)" to disable the Minimize, Maximize and close buttons during that period. Opt("GUIEventOptions", 1) ;Shake Starts ;Shake Ends Opt("GUIEventOptions", 0) As for smileys, I could think of no other way than to make the recieve box a HTML page so you can put images by the <img> tag. AoRaToS
Thanks for being more specific BoonPek, and for finding and reporting the bug! I fixed it. About the sounds, I'll see what I can do later tonight about something that controls all checkboxes. You'll be able to Update in a bit! Also a big thanks to JackDinn for helping out quite a few times P.S. (You use the messenger on so many computers?) BoonPek
Yes, both in school and in work. In school, between my friends and I. At home, my brother and at work, with some staff members.] As for Transparency, you could use the function "WinSetTrans" together with a slider "GUICtrlCreateSlider" for controlling the percentage of transparency. "WinSetTrans" works in values from 0 (Transparent) to 255 (Opaque), and by default the Slider starts from 0 to 100. So we need to either convert the 0-100 as a percentage of 255, or use the "GUICtrlSetLimit($Slider, 255, 0) Edited August 24, 2010 by BoonPek
AoRaToS
Good to know you use it allot, it means it's usefull! I know that about transparency, I'm just not sure yet if it's needed or not, I don't want to add stuff that might be useless...The notifications could look allot nicer and I can work on that... The GUI in general needs a nicer look s!mpL3 LAN Messenger Current version 2.9.9.1 [04/07/2019] s!mpL3 LAN Messenger.zip s!mpL3

twitchyliquid64
I really like it! Is that running UpNP detection? Also, is your program capable of talking to users it's not connected to? That is, can you be connected to 3 people, but use them to talk to someone that their connected to? AKA: Route: User3 -> User1 -> User 5?
