para
I believe discussion is taking place whether or not to leave it open source. I am not sure if you still can download it at this time. PM "Jon" about it.

blakel
I don't want to sound like an a**hole, and I have respect for the authors, but it is GPL.
para
Then you should be able to find it without problem right? Maybe it isn't at the moment
blakel
I just read the thread about the licensing options(and posted). I am sorry for the reasons that have lead to the discontent with the GPL. This is obviously not how it is supposted to be. I will not contribute to those reasons. If there is no way to get the source, then I will look elsewhere, for another product or I will have to write one myself. Thank you for you time; I did not mean to bring up bad blood. autoitNOW
Wow the posts above and the nature of the interactions disturbs me for various reasons. I'm starting to wonder about AutoIT's future. Like... WinBatch (and now WebBatch) , http://www.winbatch.com/ , already exists... I would like to see AutoIT remain special and in the open source community, but I'm just an "end user" for now, so...There is a "brother project" related to AutoIT3 and based on AutoIT2 and its called AutoHotKey, http://www.autohotkey.com/download/ . AutoHotKey is still free and open source at this time. Short of the cutting edge features like calling DLLs, having a DLL version of itself like AutoIT, etc... AutoHotKey is not that far behind AutoIT3, plus it appears that AutoHotKey could use some more experienced programmers. An ADVOCATE for AutoIT

Only the beta code is kept private for now. Edited January 14, 2005 by Valik

Insolence
I'd also like to get in on the source in 103... but Jon never replied to my PM, so I won't bother him "I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him." - Mark TwainPatient: "It hurts when I do $var_"Doctor: "Don't do $var_" - Lar. blakel
i got the source for the above linked project. i then went into the source directory and typed cat * | grep opyright the results did not include Jonathon Bennett & AutoIt Team. This sure does look similar not to have that in there. Can anyone confirm that code is improperly used?

CyberSlug
.. on about with ...<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Too many prepositions.I can't tell if Para thinks that 1) Blakel is suggesting AutoIt is stealing source from other projects OR 2) Blakel is suggesting other projects are stealing from AutoIt.I presume the latter. Administrators Jon Posted January 14, 2005 Administrators Share Posted January 14, 2005 It wasn't American-English. You play GTA:SA don't you? Did you hear the language of the British guys in Las Venturas? Truely a staggering amount of filth for a computer game. Everybody in the game has bad language, though, not just the British guys. However, nobody else seems to have a "problem" like Maccer...
