Hello everyone

here's my problem

FileWrite(GUICtrlRead($path0)&'\Desktop.ini', '[.ShellClassInfo]'& @CRLF &'IconFile='(GUICtrlRead($path1)& @CRLF &'IconIndex=0')

Would help when you formulate a question too. :)

The line contains a syntax error:

FileWrite(GUICtrlRead($path0) & '\Desktop.ini', '[.ShellClassInfo]' & @CRLF & 'IconFile=' & GUICtrlRead($path1) & @CRLF & 'IconIndex=0')

Just why are you using FileWrite for this? That is a standard INI file so you can just use IniWrite(). It's in the help file.

IniWrite(GUICtrlRead($path0)&'\Desktop.ini', ".ShellClassInfo", "IconFile", GUICtrlRead($path1))
IniWrite(GUICtrlRead($path0)&'\Desktop.ini', ".ShellClassInfo", "IconIndex", 0)
