From FAQ:

Q14. How can I change the screen resolution / refresh rate / color depth?

A1. ChangeResolution.au3 is a library function created to make changes to these settings.

I trying to use this UDF, but this UDF don`t work! :) I tested on 10 computers, not work!

I found solution on VB:

Public Const DM_BITSPERPEL = &H40000
Public Const DM_PELSWIDTH = &H80000
Public Const DM_PELSHEIGHT = &H100000
Public Const CCHDEVICENAME = 32
Public Const CCHFORMNAME = 32
Type DEVMODE
  dmDeviceName As String * CCHDEVICENAME
  dmSpecVersion As Integer
  dmDriverVersion As Integer
  dmSize As Integer
  dmDriverExtra As Integer
  dmFields As Long
  dmOrientation As Integer
  dmPaperSize As Integer
  dmPaperLength As Integer
  dmPaperWidth As Integer
  dmScale As Integer
  dmCopies As Integer
  dmDefaultSource As Integer
  dmPrintQuality As Integer
  dmColor As Integer
  dmDuplex As Integer
  dmYResolution As Integer
  dmTTOption As Integer
  dmCollate As Integer
  dmFormName As String * CCHFORMNAME
  dmUnusedPadding As Integer
  dmBitsPerPel As Integer
  dmPelsWidth As Long
  dmPelsHeight As Long
  dmDisplayFlags As Long
  dmDisplayFrequency As Long
End Type

Declare Function ChangeDisplaySettings Lib "user32.dll" Alias "ChangeDisplaySettingsA" (lpDevMode As DEVMODE, ByVal dwFalgs As Long) As Long

Public Sub SetVideoMode(Width As Long, height As Long, Depth As Long)
  Dim dm As DEVMODE
  dm.dmPelsWidth = Width
  dm.dmPelsHeight = height
  dm.dmBitsPerPel = Depth
  dm.dmSize = Len(dm)
  dm.dmFields = DM_PELSWIDTH + DM_PELSHEIGHT + DM_BITSPERPEL
  ChangeDisplaySettings dm, 0
End Sub

Mayb anyone interpreter this code to AutoIt?

I don't know what problems your having the ChangeResolution.au3 udf, but I just tryed it on three pc's and it works fine for me. Below is a direct copy and paste of the ChangeResolution.au3 and tacked to the top of the script is what I ran. It changes my screen res to 800 x 600 and waits 3 seconds and then restores the screen to the original screen res that was used before running the script.

Global $ODW = @DesktopWidth, $ODH = @DesktopHeight

_ChangeScreenRes(800, 600, @DesktopDepth, @DesktopRefresh)
Sleep(3000)
_ChangeScreenRes($ODW, $ODH, @DesktopDepth, @DesktopRefresh)

; Function Name:    _ChangeScreenRes()
; Description:      Changes the current screen geometry, colour and refresh rate.
; Version:          1.0.0.1
; Parameter(s):     $i_Width - Width of the desktop screen in pixels. (horizontal resolution)
;                   $i_Height - Height of the desktop screen in pixels. (vertical resolution)
;                   $i_BitsPP - Depth of the desktop screen in bits per pixel.
;                   $i_RefreshRate - Refresh rate of the desktop screen in hertz.
; Requirement(s):   AutoIt Beta > 3.1
; Return Value(s):  On Success - Screen is adjusted, @ERROR = 0

I believe to you and i trying again, no reaction :)

It worked fine here as well... You can change "ChangeDisplaySettings" to "ChangeDisplaySettingsA" if you like to see if that changes anything for you though (worked both ways for me on XP Pro sp2/XP Pro sp3/Win2k sp4).

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.

olo,

Have you got that first line where you set the Global variables in the script you ran: :huh:

Global $ODW = @DesktopWidth, $ODH = @DesktopHeight

You need that to set the current values to use when restoring the original resolution. ;)

AV are stuipd they remove not only AutoIt compiled script but also other software.
The only way you can do is to add some exclusion to your AV.
