willichan
I guess we could have some sort of list somewhere over good and commonly used codecs, but where? This thread? In CC? Backside of the moon? Maybe another tab for links. You could include a link to any explanations about codecs, and to any sites we find for good, clean codec downloads. Again, I don't think the app needs anything more, but if you are looking for additions, this is all I can think of. ---- Edit ---- Maybe a link to the Gspot site too? Edited September 6, 2011 by willichan My UDFs: Barcode Libraries, Automate creation of any type of project folder, File Locking with Cooperative Semaphores, Inline binary files, Continue script after reboot, WinWaitMulti, Name Aggregator, Enigma, CornedBeef Hash
willichan
A colleague gave me this link. http://www.xpcodecpack.com/I installed it on a sand-boxed machine, and ran scans on it. It looks to be clean.According to the site, it includes the following: AC3Filter 1.63bAVI Splitter 1.0.0.9CDXA Reader 1.0.0.2CoreAAC (AAC Decoder) 1.2.0CoreFlac Decoder 0.4FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder 2008.12.19GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder 0.1.2.0Matroska Splitter 1.0.3.0Media Player Classic 6.4.9.1OggSplitter/CoreVorbis 1.1.0.79RadLight APE Filter 1.0.0.4RadLight MPC Filter 1.0.0.4RadLight OFR Filter 1.0.0.4RealMedia Splitter 1.0.1.2RadLight TTA Filter 1.0.0.2The Codec Detective 2.0VSFilter (DirectVobSub) 2.39 The Codec Detective gives some nice detail about the codecs, but does not give the control over them that your utility has.
