GodForsakenSoul Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 (edited) i'm trying to learn to use the program by following the tutorial and generally poking commands. now here's my first problem. run("notepad.exe") WinWaitActive ("Untitled - Notepad") send ("This is some text i want to appear automaticly.") WinClose ("Untitled - Notepad") WinWaitActive ("Notepad", "Do you want to save the changes?") send ("N") i compile this, run this, and it does not stop. it opens hundreds of notepad instances and not doing anything. what the hell is wrong? edit: however, when i run the au3 file it works alright. o.o wtf? MrCreatoR Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Hi, Wellcome to board! It's strange behaviour, with the code provided it should not happend, do you use any includes with that code? or this is all code that you have in your script? maybe some included script have a function that recall your script every time it exits... GodForsakenSoul Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 (edited) at first it had a #NoTrayIcon thing, but i removed it afterwards. what i posted is the code i wrote. from reading the help file. it didn't mention any includes. yet. the first script i had in mind was this. i wanted to see how the #NoTrayIcon thing works. #NoTrayIcon run("notepad.exe") WinWaitActive ("Untitled - Notepad") send ("This is some text i want to appear automaticly.") WinClose ("Untitled - Notepad") WinWaitActive ("Notepad", "Do you want to save the changes?") send ("N") Edited January 27, 2008 by GodForsakenSoul
