Retreive keys from scriptwriter or AU3Record from script

Anybody tried to call scriptwriter/AU3Record and retreive results the back into the script? I've tried the "keylogger" method, it works but needs lots of work. Now if I can call scriptwriter to record my keystrokes and save it into a variable... I don't exactly want scriptwriter to fully execute with GUI and all, just record in the background until a key is hit that will end process. The file ASWhook.dll might be something but I have no clue how to hook into to it. Maybe if scriptwriter was compiled as an dll I might be able to use it Any ideas?
