Hey I am new to AutoIt (trying it out after using AutoHotKey for a while now)... Is there a "Script Writer" or something that simply records mouse movements and keystrokes (for us lazy people that don't want to logically go through each mouse click the macro may run)?

I have searched around and some people are mentioning hitting Alt-A or go into Tool in SciTE but that doesn't do anything here.

Thanks!

Do you use SciTE? If so, you might just find what you're looking for.

"Alt-A" I do believe.

Do I need some special version of SciTE because the one that was installed by AutoIt doesn't do anything when I hit Alt-A... Did I miss something in the install options (or maybe do I need to be using the Beta)?

I also tried and failed.

supposedly the recorder is accessed inter Tools, but nothing showed.

I downloaded Recorder but still nothing showed under tools.

if I open Recorder independently, i can( I think) record a script..... Many many mouse moves with a few SEND commands

But it stays faded and stop or save is virtually impossible

after several tries I cannot get anything to PLAY

HELP!?

You do realise that the post above yours dates from nearly 8 years ago? In future please do not resurrect threads from this far back - just start a new thread.
