sandman
Okay, well let's get back on track here. I have some suggestions: When you press Start, instead of the window appearing in the middle of the screen, why not have it appear above the start button like in Windows? Also, the desktop buttons are really wide and obtrusive; you should look into using transparent PNGs and checking with GUIGetMsg() from there. Maybe even use ashley's icons? JustinReno
Ok, there will be another update tommorow. The next feature is if no background is selected, it will randomly select from two backgrounds(Not many, it increased the exe size too much) And any more suggestions for MicroOS? I will try to remedy that Edited November 11, 2007 by sandman "Yes, [our app] runs on Windows as well as Linux, but if you had a Picasso painting, would you put it in the bathroom?" -BitchX.com (IRC client)"I would change the world, but they won't give me the source code." -Unknownsite . blog . portfolio . claimidcode.is.poetry();
JustinReno
Oh, cool! Thanks, I'll look into it. Edit: I was experimenting with the start menu appearing over the start menu button, but that would depend on everyones resolution, but I'll try to figure it out. And I'll look into transparent icons. Thanks. Edited November 11, 2007 by JustinReno

JustinReno
That would have been way easier than what I was doing, I got it correct. I used number() to subtract the start menu height from the desktop height, then subtracted the start button height, but controlgetpos() works good too. Edit: I completely forgot how to make the buttons transparent, any help? I just looked through the help file and I'm still looking. Edit Again: I searched and couldn't find an easy way to implement the transparent buttons. I know Ashley's shell has some, but I'm not sure how. Edit Again Again: YES, I have a saved version of Ashley's source with the transparent icons, now let me see... Edit Again Again Again: It didn't work.. hmmm Edited November 11, 2007 by JustinReno
NELyon
Ok, finally got Wine installed and working so i took a look. Overall, not bad, except i couldn't test the web browser, and the background looked severely messed up (random lines and pixels were inverted) Still, Good Job. JustinReno
Then none of the icons, background images, and the help file will show. Edited November 11, 2007 by JustinReno
NELyon
All of the icons and the background image show. i just said the background image is distorted a little bit. And the helpfile uses the shell.explorer.2 Object, and linux doesn't natively support those objects. that's why that wouldn't work.
JustinReno
Oh, ok, the picture resizing for the control isn't the best, but isn't a very big priority to the project. Anyone know how to make transparent icons?
sandman
I meant using Ashley's icons, not the shell.
