MicroOS

Welcome to the MicroOS topic!

MicroOS was intrigued by Alek's MiniOS. Its pretty functional, and has most features you'd expect.

FEATURES:

1. Its completely standalone.

2. It has the date/time and battery status at the top.

3. Has 2 nice pretty backgrounds.

4. A good startmenu with icons.

5. Applications include: Internet, Console, Notepad, Music Player, Calculator, Excuse Maker, Quiz, Lock, Control Panel, and Shutdown.

6. It has evenly spaced icons of Internet, Music Player, and Notepad on the desktop.

7. It has a context menu on the desktop of Internet, Notepad, and Music Player.

8. Is extemely small! This version is about 700KB.

9. A good help file covering everything you need to know!

10. Added encryption to the ini file.

11. The Start button should work on most screen resulutions.

12. Starts up maximized completely.

13. Context menu on Start menu(not button) to change its background color.

14. If no background is selected, it will pick one of two backgrounds and set it as background on start up.

15. Does not write to the registry.

BUGS:

1. If you have a desktop or laptop, there is a 50/50 chance of the battery state at -1. A fix would be appreciated.

2. Maybe its just my computer, AutoIt gives me an error after configuring.

3. Battery status showing "-1%"

4. When you change the desktop background image it isn't properly sized.

NOT BUGS:

1. Multitasking, won't happen. Its described more in the help file. GUISetOnevent will NOT fit into my script :P:dance::P;)

2. The Control Panel asking you to restart.

ToDo:

1. Add more applications. Things for sure to come into development are an IRC program.

What is NoteX?

Just a wild guess, your battery might be on the hint of going bad.

NoteX will be something like MicroOS...

Hmm, Odd. What OS?

XP SP2.

Remove About menu and put this instead to open About when you click on About on menu bar:

$about = GuiCtrlCreateMenuItem("About",-1)

Ok..I'll look into it.

Why did you name it NoteX?

Cause it was name of my first text editor which was lost somewhere between transferring from one PC to another

Ok, fixed the bugs you have said, Kiesp! Thank you! I would have never caught those. I have considered using hotkeys, but there just to clumsy in a way, they take alot of work for the functions here.
