Achilles Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 ThX alot,But it still freezes on the config menu:freeze.bmpAnd I Have left it for about 1/2 hour but nothin Happen It looks like you're not running the .exe from the correct place. Basically, all the image files have to be where the Multiple Desktops.exe is... If you ran the default install I'm not sure why it isn't with them already, but check and make that in the script directory that there lots of image files.@Piano Man...This isnt a bug...but it will make it look more professional...Your icons...text is set to Multiple Desktops.exe (Default) you should change it too: Multiple Desktops smile.gifI'm not sure what icons you are talking about... Each computer has it's own preference of if they want the file extension shown, so I don't think that's it... Sweet Piano Man...Well Since My AppDataDir Is SuperHidden, I Used AutoIt To Delete It, Reinstalled! Works Great Now! Thanks!!You don't have privileges to go to folder options and show them? Oh well, you could of ran Multiple Desktops.exe and opened the folder from there and then edited it as necessary...SendMessage.au3 is in the latest beta... Achilles Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 (edited) Pending UpdatesFind a way to detect the if the user used Windows to change the Wallpaper and update accordingly (only at the beginning, not during runtime)Fix the bug with the toolbar's position when it gets recreatedSource code is currently not up to date with the latest .exe (will do when I release the rest of these changes...)HelpfileFix the bug where if you click "Show Desktop" or Win + D, it will not reset the icons positions correctlyChange tray icon text to Multiple Desktops (and maybe the current desktop?)Automatic updates <-- SometimeInstead of showing hotkeys like ^!a show Ctrl + Alt + aMake the side buttons 2 pixels larger in order to connect them in a continuous blockFix a bug with the Tray item not being checked (or unchecked) when it should be (for the toolbar item)Don't hide the Taskbar if it's not neededCreate all the options and instead of deleting each tab each time, just hide all the items on it. <-- I think I'm going to go back to the standard windows GUI for simplicity and efficiency's sakeWindows Type Two doesn't work and crashes the program, don't use it...If the mouse is moved out of it's locked position then don't restore it to where it was when Multiple Desktops started changing desktopsUse Modern Menu! <-- Don't think I'll do this oneHave the progressbar be more accurate...SplashImage for the beginningHave an option to show all hidden windowsFix bug with the Windows.ini not saving correctly on exitPlease let me know if you have any other suggestions... I'm going to work on making this code more efficient.Edit: please note that crossed out items may not be in the current release of Multiple Desktops, they are for my referenceEdit2: I'm finding more and more things to change, at this rate I'll never be done with the updates... Achilles Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 (edited) UpdatedFixed Bugs Fixed a bug with the last desktop not being recorded correctly (which caused lots of other problems) Fixed a bug with the toolbar's position not being restored correctly when the GUI's x value was equal to 0 Fixed a bug where "Show Desktop" or Win + D caused icons not to be reset correctly with the next desktop transition Fixed a bug with the tray item not being checked (or unchecked) when it should be (for the toolbar item) Fixed a bug with the Windows.ini not saving correctly on exit Fixed Windows type two, it now works well and does not crash the programAdditions The tray items now show hotkeys as Ctrl + Alt + a instead of ^!a Tray icon text is now "Multiple Desktops - <current desktop>" (thanks Swift) The GUI is a little better looking (actually it looks worse right now 'cause I compiled with the wrong pictures, I'll change that soon) The Taskbar is no longer hidden if it doesn't need to be If the mouse is moved out of its locked position (which is now harder to do, but not impossible) then don't restore it to where it was when Multiple Desktops started changing and instead leave it where it is SplashImage for startup An option to "Show all hidden windows"To Do Automatic updates Make the GUI using the windows default style Make the progressbar look coolPlease tell me any suggestions/bugs/comments.Edit: Wow, it's getting near the one year anniversary of this program... Phodexis Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Mediafire says Invalid Quickkey. This error has been forwarded to MediaFire's development team. The quickkey you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire.

This error has been forwarded to MediaFire's development team. The quickkey you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire.I added some alternative links on the original post. They are still from MediaFire but they don't go directly toward the file, hopefully it will allow you to download the files. In case of this failing, anybody know any other good free hosting websites? My Programs

Knight Media Player
Multiple Desktops
Daily Comics
Journal
Achilles Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 Alternative Links worked, thanksAnytime... Thanks for letting me know the links weren't working. Achilles Posted May 1, 2008 Author Posted May 1, 2008 (edited) nice script, you think is possible to have 4 desktop in same time ?Read this, this guy had a nice idea, run up to 4 windows (desktops) at same time side by side ...That's an interesting idea. To be honest I don't think I would have any idea where to start. So far all that JellyFish666 has managed to do was to create a different background for each on a GUI. I could probably get that working so that it would apply it do your actual desktop but having each separate background have their own group of windows/icons would be pretty hard. As of now, I see no personal advantage to this because my monitor is a 17" and I only have room for one window on the screen at once... You'd need two monitors or at least a huge monitor for this to actually be advantageous. Achilles, I think your Autoit work is the most advanced in multi-desktop environment, so you are the man ! thank for your timemThanks! When I try to open the program again I get an error.. x3Oops. Dx =PEDIT: I uninstalled then reinstalled the program and it's still the same error code."Line -1:Error: Subscript used with non-Array variable."Did you delete the desktop from the Options GUI? I thought I had made that not allowed but I guess not. Go do your desktops location, it should be @AppDataDir & '\Desktops\'... And there delete the entire Desktops folder. NOTE, IF YOU HAVE FILES IN THERE MOVE THEM OUT FIRST, otherwise they will be deleted. Deleting that folder basically resets the desktops options. Uninstalling doesn't delete the folder, if I remember right.I haven't messed with this program for a long time because it's not working on vista which is all I have... Let me know if that doesn't work. If it doesn't work let me know your OS. My Programs

Knight Media Player
Multiple Desktops
Daily Comics
Journal
