It can be retrieved - it is written directly to the Windows clipboard. You do not have to copy and paste the info from any display or msgbox - it is already in the clipboard - just paste it where you want it.

Sorry that I did not make that clear...

Hmm, that's perfectly okay <g>. But I think that that brings up the issue that it's not clear, no? I've been mulling this over since I read your post; I suspect that it actually might be better not to automatically send the text to the clipboard in this way. First off, nothing indicates to the user that this is going to happen and that might be an issue in certain cases. There might be text or other in the clipboard that the user needs to keep there until making the decision to overwrite without having the overwriting forced on him/her. What do you think? But _would_ it be an easy enough thing to do, adding that functionality in with a "Send to clipboard" button? I think that would be ideal, but don't have enough experience yet with getting msgboxes to work successfully once they're complicated like this <g>.

Thanks.

It should look like:

..and all you had to do was highlight new text and press control-c or right-click and copy --- however you liked to get the text into the Windows clipboard.

Anyone in the forum know why TrayTips are not always showing in XP?

See this thread also: http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...st&p=321020

Is there a [XP] setting that I'm missing?

Edit: added [XP]
