Has anyone made a program like the recorder that is not so dependent on x,y chords.

Example:

You move the mouse to File -> Exit and left click.

This currently records the mouse move and the click.

Instead is would like to see it detect the actual control and call thereby not using x,y chords or mouse clicks.

This would also be really cool for recording automated tasks through websites. It would automatically detect IEobjects, etc...

I started something similar here a few months back, but I've haven't looked at it for quiet some time. I may dig it back up and try to come up with something.

AutoItMacroGenerator looks like an attempt to do what we are talking about. Is that what you started or is that someone elses?
