anyone know of a way to read if xp is smoothing fonts

I've got an ocr script that works perfectly on systems that do not have xp smoothing the fonts. I've been working on the script for weeks and i couldnt figure out why it would work great on this computer but not on my others. I FINALLY tracked it down to the fact that this computer does not have the "smooth edges of screen fonts" option enabled thru windows. Now i plan on modifying the script to occomodate for this.. but i need a way for autoit to tell whether or not the fonts are smoothed so i can tell the script which OCR definitions to use. Anyone know of a way to find this out via autoit?
