Moderators SmOke_N Posted September 14, 2006 Moderators Share Posted September 14, 2006 The header pic is a bit off on the right lol. Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer. Moderators big_daddy Posted September 14, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted September 14, 2006 @Smoke - It just looks that way because it's sunken. @Manadar - I've completely rebuilt my original script; I think you will like this one much better. jvanegmond Posted September 16, 2006 Share Posted September 16, 2006 Tabs are not worthy being automated. You should really consider to figure out songs yourself or to buy sheetmusic. Tabs are terrible! github.com/jvanegmond Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Moderators big_daddy Posted September 16, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted September 16, 2006 I'm getting very close to finishing this thing; so far it is about 75% operational. I just finished the MP3 Tab and am moving on to the Artist tab which will be much easier! BTW - I updated the screenshots! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jvanegmond Posted September 17, 2006 Share Posted September 17, 2006 big_daddy, i have been struggling with a problem that when a song was called for example 1.19 in winamp but it's called 1:19 on the website, the script wouldn't return any lyric. Have you found a way to go around minor spelling errors? github.com/jvanegmond Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Moderators big_daddy Posted September 18, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted September 18, 2006 @SolidSnake - It looks easy enough to implement. However I don't have access to iTunes so I would have no way of testing it. @Manadar - This should be doable with the way I rewrote the lyrics searching. Right now I don't have time to figure out how to write a function for this, but if someone wanted to create it I will include it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also , iTunes can be downloaded free from: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/Anyway nice job, can't wait to try it out. Moderators big_daddy Posted September 27, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2006 (edited) I decided to release what I have so far, which is far from being finished. However it is functional other than the "Search by Song" tab. See first post for update. Enjoy, Bob Edited September 27, 2006 by big_daddy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Moderators big_daddy Posted September 27, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2006 As I stated the "Search by Song" tab is not yet functional. I have started the function for grabbing the songs, but have not yet completed it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
guestscripter Posted October 4, 2006 Share Posted October 4, 2006 (edited) Here, I made an iTunes script that sorta does the same thing. It doesn't use a GUI (because I don't know how to use those, and so I don't, and I've always found ways around it), and basically you just select the songs in iTunes that you want to search for and it pops up with the lyrics in a messagebox to show you and automatically attaches them to the corresponding song. It uses the absolutelyrics.com website, which I don't know if its the best, but works for now. Any help for further improvement, fixing any bugs, and so on would be great EDIT: No downloads yet! :-( EDIT: I added a much simplified and better functional version. (My first ones sorta worked but were stupidly complicated) Edited October 7, 2006 by yaziquex ImageSearch15.au3 featuring _ImageSearchStartup() and _ImageSearchShutdown() Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

FuryCell Posted October 7, 2006 Share Posted October 7, 2006 something else you or anybody else might find useful:09 (TAB)20 (Space)21 !22 "23 #24 $25 %26 &27 '28 (29 )40 @5E ^the above is the internet codes for certain characters that you can't have in a url.e.g. if you force a space, it puts in %20e.g. if you force a #, it puts in %23They're all in hex I think, and you put a % in front of them.The reason this is useful is that for absolutelyrics, for songs with a " ' ", e.g. You're Beautiful, James Blunt, you make the script go to /james_blunt/you%27re_beautiful/Thats probably one of the few useful examples, but I'm glad I found it.The way I found them is on google you typle in e.g. $ and in the address bar it will show http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%24&btnG=Search. If you don't notice, look herehttp://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q= > %24 < &btnG=SearchThe _INetExplorerCapable() udf in Inet.au3 appears to have been created for that purpose. guestscripter Posted October 7, 2006 Share Posted October 7, 2006 (edited) The _INetExplorerCapable() udf in Inet.au3 appears to have been created for that purpose.Just checked it out.You're half-right and I was half-wrong.That udf replaces spaces to %20 and so on, but it didn't do anything about the ' in you're beautiful and therefore would have created an error if that page was loaded at absolutelyrics.Unless someone updates that udf,my hex codes are still needed.09 (TAB)20 (Space)21 !22 "23 #24 $25 %26 &27 '28 (29 )40 @5E ^the above is the internet codes for certain characters that you can't have in a url.e.g. if you force a space, it puts in %20e.g. if you force a #, it puts in %23They're all in hex I think, and you put a % in front of them.btw they're very similar to the ones you put into the _isPressed udf, but some are different so be careful Edited October 7, 2006 by yaziquex ImageSearch15.au3 featuring _ImageSearchStartup() and _ImageSearchShutdown() Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Moderators big_daddy Posted October 7, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted October 7, 2006 This should work. #include <INet.au3> $sString = "you're beautiful" ConsoleWrite(_INetExplorerCapable($sString) & @CR) ConsoleWrite(_Escape($sString) & @CR) Func _Escape($s_String) Local $s_Return = "" For $x = 1 To StringLen($s_String) $s_Char = StringMid($s_String, $x, 1) If StringRegExp($s_Char, '\A|\.', 0) Then $s_NewChar = $s_Char Else $s_NewChar = "%" & Hex(Asc($s_Char), 2) EndIf $s_Return = $s_Return & $s_NewChar Next Return $s_Return EndFunc ;==>_Escape Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
