Fossil Rock
...but he's pissing a lot of people off with his way of "not charging, just hobbling"Who's getting pissed off ? .. not me ... noone but you as far as I can tell. I can, and do, stand by SmOke_N's decision to protect his work. I am developing an application and will follow his example by using an internet connection to verify authenticity, however my app will require internet access to even be useable.Has this thread been put to bed yet? dandymcgee
Wow, that was an interesting conversation. I will not take sides on this one becuase I'd rather not end up saying something stupid, but aw well. I do agree with the "online community" point though. Anyways, I love your program Smoke_N, and use it quite often. Keep up the excellent work, and I hope you don't decide to make us pay a fee for it any time soon, but what must be done, must be done. Moderators SmOke_N Posted September 26, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted September 26, 2006 Updated 1st post 2.0.0.2 Made it a bit more efficient... Gary should appreciate it more so than anyone else per his comment when he first downloaded it in a PM to me. Speed should be increased as well by about 15%. I added a stripper to it, so it's a bit bulkier than normal, but it has issues when doing it while encoding, so I have disabled the function to do it programmatically, but you'll see in the options that it is there to play with, it will output just like EnCodeIt does, but the addon to the file name is [FilePath/Name]_EnCodeIt_Stripped.au3. I haven't thoroughly tested it, but it seemed to do ok, and seemingly fast for AutoIt (not as fast as petheebes and marks I'm sure). If you're running into issues with the last release at this moment, the above release is the reason why. Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.

dandymcgee
Hmmmm... Seems as if he wants the same thing I wanted to know. I haven't had the slightest bit of luck learning anything about it from anyone here either. I still don't have a clue how to apply skins, but at least I'm not starting any wars. I'll figure it out... some day. - Dan [Website]

CWorks
I have no clue who "Happy Gilmore" is but it's definitely not frodo frodo never even knew about skincrafter until i gave him the code plus a link here to see it in action we are both members at another forum under the same names
GaryFrost
the wording sounds like frodoll I can say is THANKS!! I truly appreciate offering up the posted code, works great. I find it unfortunate that a few over at the AutoIt forum have taken to 'stroking their code' and calling it 'my precious....' taurus905
the wording sounds like frodogafrost,I agree. It is frodo's MO (modus operandi). From: Ronald McDonald on the SkinCrafter forum. Posted: Tue Sep 26, 2006 9:37 pm--------------------------------------------------------------------------------CWorks I was 'Happy Gilmore', but somehow I am not able to log back in under that name, whatever....Sorry for the formatting, but when i try and post the normal way, i keep getting blocked........spookySee what happens when you disagree on here.....I'm surprised he didn't blame AutoIt users for preventing him from logging in to the SkinCrafter forum. The boy definately has issues. And at the least, he doesn't know how to use his computer to access forums.I'm sure he will be back. For someone who doesn't have internet access he sure posts a lot of messages. taurus905 "Never mistake kindness for weakness."-- Author Unknown --"The highest point to which a weak but experienced mind can rise is detecting the weakness of better men."-- Georg Lichtenberg --Simple Obfuscator (Beta not needed.), Random names for Vars and Funcs

MadBoy
Smoke_N: is it possible for you to implement so ESC wouldn't ask you if you want to quit EncodeIt? I use Esc preety much in a lot of applications like Miranda or Text files to hide things and since EncodeIt works in the background for quite a while it asks me all the time if i want to quit Not realy big thing but i think you could make it systray app so when encoding it would be hidden (and only visible in systray). When done it would pop-out or so. You could add progress in baloon-tips. Just some suggestions. Anyway Great app My little company: Evotec (PL version: Evotec)
MadBoy
SmokeN: did you changed anything crucial in your program since few days? I downloaded new version today as the old version didn't wanted to start anymore. Now your program crashes on my scripts that used to work just fine with your encryption. And after adding few lines to old script that i rechecked for "typical mistakes" after compilation my program doesn't start at all, when i try to compile it from Scite i get some variables missing. It used to work just fine with old version of your program. I'll try to work a bit on this issue, just asking maybe i'm working on something that you know might have changed behaviour of your program. Cheers, and keep up good work as the program functionality is superb. My little company: Evotec (PL version: Evotec)
