Smoke_N: is it possible for you to implement so ESC wouldn't ask you if you want to quit EncodeIt? I use Esc preety much in a lot of applications like Miranda or Text files to hide things and since EncodeIt works in the background for quite a while it asks me all the time if i want to quit

Not realy big thing but i think you could make it systray app so when encoding it would be hidden (and only visible in systray). When done it would pop-out or so. You could add progress in baloon-tips. Just some suggestions. Anyway Great app

I don't think I'm going to put too much more into it to be honest MadBoy. I've already proven to myself that adding stuff in after the fact, I tend to break more things

Are you using the Strip Code option? I don't think it's a good idea, and I think I'm going to take it out. I just didn't spend enough time testing it for accuracy.

Hrmms, i thought you need to choose file for strip to happen.. but seems like there was option in .ini file 'strip = 4' or so. Maybe that was it. I'm trying without it.

Btw that ESC button is realy annoying. Especially that it takes 40 minutes for me to encode my stuff and i can't use it then You could for example add Button[2] in place where it says Start Encoding so Button label changes to Terminate Encoding (it stays as Start Encoding all the time while the script is running atm) and that would be the way to quit the script. I know adding more things can break the script but i think that's like 2 lines so shouldn't realy be that bad

I started encoding again without the option "strip" in .ini file and encodeIt crashed again. Maybe someone else can confirm it, might be my computer but never had problems before.

No worries, I'm going to go eat with my family. I didn't get any errors with either way, so I can't confirm anything personally. I tried to clean it up a bit, if others are having issues, I'll just revert back to the non-strip one so I don't have to change the code.

Hehe, usually tests done by yourself work preety good. Had this with my app couple of times, ppl reporting problems i didn't knew existed.

Anyways.. is tehre a way you could send me some older version (just before the changes) that would be active so i could check if old one works on my scripts? (of course i didn't left myself the version that i had before because it stopped working ;p).

Download it now, it's just like it was before, but there are some changes. The old ones will not work regardless if I sent it to you or not. I removed the Strip-Code option.

This is really disappointing coming from you, as i spent a lot of my early AutoIT time last year reading your posts and learning from your experience. Its fair to say that due to my limited net access, given the choice, when faced between reading your opinion on something and someones else on a similar topic, i followed yours. The boy definately has issues. And at the least, he doesn't know how to use his computer to access forums.

I'm sure he will be back.

For the record in real life (and in 99.9% of my online life) im probably one of the nicest people you will meet, and no one ive ever known , even for 5 mins, has ever had to ask me twice for my help for anything. Thats the kind of person i am.

In fact ill go out of my way to do things for people, even to my detriment. And for the record i have an extremely long fuse. But when i hit the kind of smarmy "i can, but you cant" attitude i found the other day in an overwhelmingly helpful forum, the retired soldier in me takes over.

As for having issues, i dont have any in the way youre inferring, but if youve been through half of what i have in my life, then id challenge you to come out of it and be as jovial as i am 99.9% of the time.

Wow, people REALLY need to stop making this into a flame war/useless comments thread. It is meant to be used for commenting Smoke_N on his awesome project. This is just my opinion. Anyways, thanks for this really cool project smoke, and I can't wait until you release your next big project to the autoit community (whatever it may be)(also, not trying to convince everyone that you DO have a big project you are working on right now, because if you did I'd probably be one of the last to find out). EnCodeIt ROCKS!

I give my bet that's GuiListView is the reason why it doesn't work but i am not realy able to diagnose where the problem might be with GuiListView.au3 (newest beta). I tried to encode GuiListView itself but it crashed your program once and 2 times it encoded it successfully. So i'm not realy sure if the reason is my Windows, computer or what can it be As there's no debug mode in your program it's hard to know where it crashes on what lines for normal user In 99% of times it crashes on Step4.
