Evil_Has_Survived Posted April 13, 2006 Author Posted April 13, 2006 Yeah, you can tell this was written by someone who isn't very experienced with bat scripting. I bet if you did execute it nothing would happen since the Program Files folder and the Windows folder are protected folders and cannot be deleted(but don't run it anyway). They are also in use. A true pro would have used better switches. Now can someone delete the zip file posted in this forum. Please, pretty please.EDITThanks for removing it. thanks Thanks in advance
greenmachine Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 but would it work on windows XP I think only 98 because most of batch files don't work on XP but some doWhy does it matter if it would work on XP?

slightly_abnormal Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Why does it matter if it would work on XP?wouldn't it have not been succesful since those files are obviously in use, and windows goes bizzark when you try something to a file that is in use.. or batch files are that powerful?

The Kandie Man Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 hmm.. something is fishy here.. What smells fishy? I am simply stating what i believe would happen if you executed it. "So man has sown the wind and reaped the world. Perhaps in the next few hours there will no remembrance of the past and no hope for the future that might have been." & _"All the works of man will be consumed in the great fire after which he was created." & _"And if there is a future for man, insensitive as he is, proud and defiant in his pursuit of power, let him resolve to live it lovingly, for he knows well how to do so." & _"Then he may say once more, 'Truly the light is sweet, and what a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to see the sun.'" - The Day the Earth Caught Fire
greenmachine Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 what do you mean by thatIf you run it and it attempts to delete everything on your computer, you'd learn that running unknown files from sources that could possibly be less than trustworthy is a really bad idea. The lesson would really sink in if it got anything done....

Bert Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 You could use Vmware to test this stuff. No big deal blowing up a VM machine. you can always set it back, and no harn done. I use it for testing stuff I'm not sure about. But to be on the safe side, I have it running on a stand alone PC, just in case the thing has a network piece that could cause a problem.
