GEOSoft Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 Further to my last post. Yes indeed!! Microsofts record goes unblemished. Now they have managed to break bookmarks in compiled help projects. Page links are fine, it's only the bookmarks. I generated a bug report with MS on the subject and if they run true to form I'm sure they'll have it fixed in a couple of years. In all fairness it is a Beta release and we know what that can be like. The biggest delay will be when they try to convince us that it was done as a security measure. While we wait for that to happen it would appear that the only solution is going to be to create separate pages for each of those bookmarks (34 I think) or to change all of the links to point only to the page and not the bookmark. This is a Microsoft problem with poor code by sounds of itI installed and ran IE beta 1 for quite some time, I liked it for extra features, but I had extra bugs also with url links in applications broken and all the rest. I finally uninstalled not to long back, and now everything is functioning how it should.Bottom line from my viewpoint. It is Microsoft Beta bugs, and Microsoft should fix them before anything else. MSLx Fanboy Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I can confirm that as well. I installed IE7 Beta 2 today (on XP SP2, fully patched), and no problems here. Writing AutoIt scripts since _DateAdd("d", -2, _NowCalcDate())
