How to avoid empty elements in my array

 Share

Recommended Posts

I'm using this to get all the computer objects in a OU. There should only be 700 ish elements. I get 1600 elements, but 900 of them are empty.

$aTmpOU = _AD_GetObjectsInOU($sOU,"(name=*)", 2, "managedBy,cn,distinguishedName,sAMAccountName,description","cn")

Can I somehow avoid that?

Yours sincerely

Kenneth.

Ok, like for ... next loop? If yes, then I can just use what I have and skip if an empty elements comes.

I just thought I will get a clean data of the objects there are in the OU with that command.

Your filter returns all types of objects (including OUs) - some of them do not have the specified attributes and hence return an empty line in the array.
I suggest to specify the filter in more detail so you only get the objects you are looking for.
Example: "(&(objectcategory=person)(objectclass=user)(name=*))" to only get users.
