_WD_GetElementByRegEx

I'm trying to find an element that only has a "class" for the element and trying to use _WD_GetElementByRegEx.  Have not been able to find any examples/guidance on using this function.  I have success with getting the function to execute w/o errors, but am always getting a no-match for a very simple search for the exact class="text".  If I could find one working example of using these function it would be of great help.  I may have the format for the RegExp incorrect. Have already studied the Firefox RegExp documents.

Local $PopUp = _WD_GetElementByRegEx($sSession, 'class', '/ic-rt/')

Have tried with and without single/double quotes.

Please show us the full HTML for the element that you are attempting to locate. Also, it might be useful to see the Scite console output from your attempt to use _WD_GetElementByRegEx. FYI, you may be able to find some hints in the PR where this function was added.

Show us outerHtml for this element.

Of course anonymize them if required.

In responding to your reply for the html, I noticed that the html for the popup I am trying to clear is not on the page html even tho it is on the page.  This may be why I have not been able to get an element match for the clear button.  My bottom line issue here is I'm trying to deal with popups that are interfering with other element searches.  Maybe there is a better way to deal with this other than just trying to clear them?  I've tried popup blockers, but they do not seem to work when the website is accessed via Webdriver.

I had reviewed the PR, but did not see the example section indicated above, that may help.  I also have to get more familiar with the Firefox RegExp.  I'll also do a framelist, didn't think of it.

I wonder why you need to use _WD_GetElementByRegEx() for element which is such easy to locate .

The  _WD_GetElementByRegEx() is designed to locate element which changes atributes each time you refresh web page.

For example (using your attached log) to locate such element:

<div id="investingchannel_div_6421213534794780" ...>
