is there a way to stop showing abbreviation in case when they do not contain the searched string:

for example I start to type ie and I get gcctv and gcctvi and gcrlvs and a3w2

Or this is intentionall, and maybe others will give some feedback if it is good or not to show abbreviations in such cases.

This is only for Variables ...right?  So you would like an list with 13000+ variables when you hit $?

They are only shown when somewhere in the ABBREV that typed word is found.... so don't know what you mean here.

so I mean at least 2 chars typed to popup Function or Abbreviation and in case of variables also 2 chars of variable name but 3 when we takes in considerationa to $ sign.

because currently after typing single char you will get:

 

and one issue related to variables

after typing   $a   try to use your backspace key to remove the   a    key an you will see:

so for now it is possible to get list with 13000+ variables

for me in case of

is expanding the meaning of the abbreviation

 

so when I type     ie         i would not expect to see       gcctv      abbreviation.

 

this can became very irritationg when you get not related results

but on the other hand it can be very helpfull to learn people to use abbreviations

an attentive programmer will notice

or even 

and maybe more people start to use    wwc    abbreviation ..... and others abbreviations as well.

That is the compromise i choose as the droipdown list needs a delimiter and that is ; so i replaced them before adding to the list, but when you select it things should be correct...  Right?

How they are managed in SciTE4Au3 ?

Yes, it's true, but I just noticed it and was curious about it.

I go throught au3abbrev.properties and wondering if    a3w   a3w2   shouldn't need to be reviewed/refreshed, on the occasion of all this new features ?

I compare au3.properties with my SciTEUser.properties and have question about:

Are they all still valid to use for debuging ?

I notice error with using     iferrc    abbreviation which is add like in the following screenshot ( the issue is visible in line #1 )

the last one for today, using:

there is lack of: $_WD_BROWSER__COUNTER from wd_core.au3

 

EDIT:
As so far I notice that any last of Enum will not be showed in pop up list.
