but found another discrepancy.

testudf.au3

How to reproduce.
1. save both files
2. swithc to testudf.au3 and save the file
3. switch to main.au3 check tooltip

Summary:

spaces before and after equation char "="  disapears, when saved main.au3 in comparition to cases when testudf.au3 was saved.

In the next version it will default/change them all to  "$param=xx" in au3.file.dynamic.calltips.api . (remove spaces around the "=" ) .

Updated the Beta installer & portable files with the latest Lua scripts and SciTE V 5.3.8   Scintilla:5.3.7   Lexilla:5.2.7
Also the SciTEx86.zip & SciTEX64.zip are updated with the latest version.

I know...    will only update the help section for dynamic stuff when all is ready for production.

This lead me to cleanup my au3.user.calltips.api

Also this should be mentioned in helpfile about possibility of duplicates which may be different in case when  au3.user.calltips.api was not updated.

Thanks @Jos for looking into that, I’m guessing it’s just a local slow down on my end then with the rechecking. I noticed in debugging, with

debug.autoitdynamicincludes=y
debug.autoitautocomplete=y

active, that on my first opening Scite, no debug messages are produced by pushing enter, but once I hit save, I get

Seems it doesn't activate the Missing Includes Lua till after I hit save for the first time, or (now?) switch to another script? Seems odd. But if you can't reproduce it, it's probably not a problem, and perhaps related to something I'm doing?

And yes, I know the 45K line file is a bit big, it is on my “to-do” list to split it down into pieces when I can figure out a good/logical way to do it.

 

Thanks for the new versions, I’ll take a look at them soon, it seems most of the bugs have been worked out by now, and it’s looking pretty good I’d say. Thanks again for all the tireless work put into it.

I have a small feature request, which is only for convenience, and only if it wont be a headache to implement. Is it possible to allow ctrl+Backspace to be used (to delete a word at a time) while the AutoComplete drop down is active? Both in single selection and multiple selection?

Is there a way to adjust how the tabs look when you have multiple scripts open? This new look is a little hard to distinguish.

I see keywords doesn't erase the original typed text?

I type "ret", and press enter on the first drop down listed, "reterrext<->Return SetError($iErr, $iExt, ' ')"

This is the result:

retReturn SetError($iErr, $iExt, '')

Instead of:

Return SetError($iErr, $iExt, '')

I just noticed that accepting an auto complete (using either enter or tab) for either a Variable or a Function replaces the clipboard contents. Never mind, I see it is purposeful.

I am not sure what happened there, but some logic was broken after the many changes made. I have made changes that the current file variables are also discovered but only when they are with this format: "$varname = ...". In other words, the variable is set by the script. This is done to avoid any confusion when an Global CONST $variable from an include is used without that include file being defined yet.   Will soon public the changed scripts when I am happy with the testing.

Will have a look, but there are checks in there to avoid updating tables too often to avoid slowdown.  Best practice is to set the properties and re-open SciTE to start with a clean sheet or only use the Directives at the top of the file you like to debug and hit save to activate.

Not sure there is anything in standard SciTE, had a quick check and didn't see an option.

Tried this but couldn't replicate, so will need to check so more to see what sequence/steps to do to get this.

Not sure I will keep this logic... this was a trial as this will allow for multiple insert of the selected dropdown value when you have the multiselect active..... but am not really happy with using the clipboard for that.

I was trying to use abbrevs

I type  funex and press ENTER key

the problem is that funex has been expanded to funex_Example()

This is related to the use of Clipboard which will be gone in the next version...  It was a nice try but isn't working as hoped. 
I don't have the issue in my current version...   hope to be able to share it soon.

In Tidy.ini I have:

I notice that currently Tidy is not settitng up any more proper function names capitalization.

Is this something that can be fixed ?
