Hi Danp2 I tried yours and it returns as 1624570670084 webdriver::server DEBUG <- 400 Bad Request {"value":{"error":"invalid argument","message":"Failed to decode request as JSON: {\"background\": True}","stacktrace":"Syntax error at :1:16"}} Will try mLipok, and will report back shortly. PnD
I searched the forum and found that on April 3, Danp2 showed mLipok how to choose the page to printtopdf as _WD_PrintToPDF($sSession, "{'pageRanges': ['1-2']}") assuming that was working and I applied the same concept last night as $a= _WD_PrintToPdf($oFF,"{'background': True}") but it still show the error as 1624571036707 webdriver::server DEBUG <- 400 Bad Request {"value":{"error":"invalid argument","message":"Failed to decode request as JSON: {'background': True}","stacktrace":"Syntax error at :1:2"}}
Danp2
FWIW, not sure that anyone ever tested the code I posted in the earlier post. Please post the results from the Scite output window so that we can see both the command as it was sent to the webdriver and the subsequent response. TheXman
Within strictly-formatted JSON objects, the "name" portion of a "name":value pair, should be surrounded by double quotes, not single quotes. Any JSON parser that requires strict formatting would give an error if 'name':value was encountered. Also, JSON is case-sensitive when it comes to boolean values. The boolean literals are lowercase (true and false). I'm not sure if the WebDrivers require strictly-formatted JSON, but it is best to get in the habit of using the correct syntax in order to prevent issues when strictly-formatted JSON is required. For example: _WD_PrintToPdf($oFF,"{'background': True}") should be _WD_PrintToPdf($oFF, '{"background": true}') Edited June 24, 2021 by TheXman Danp2 and PnD 1 1 CryptoNG UDF: Cryptography API: Next Gen jq UDF: Powerful and Flexible JSON Processor | jqPlayground: An Interactive JSON Processor Xml2Json UDF: Transform XML to JSON | HttpApi UDF: HTTP Server API | Roku Remote: Example Script About Me How To Ask Good Questions On Technical And Scientific Forums (Detailed) | How to Ask Good Technical Questions (Brief) "Any fool can know. PnD
hi all, I just tried again and this time the syntax issue is solved. __WD_Post: URL=HTTP://127.0.0.1:4444/session/3cfaa930-2318-4b09-85ba-46f2608c8490/url; $sData={"url":"file:///C:/Autoit%20Webdriver/PackingSlip.html"} __WD_Post: StatusCode=200; ResponseText={"value":null}... _WD_Navigate: {"value":null} __WD_Post: URL=HTTP://127.0.0.1:4444/session/3cfaa930-2318-4b09-85ba-46f2608c8490/print; $sData={"background": true} __WD_Post: StatusCode=200; ResponseText={"value":"JVBERi0xLjUKJbXtrvsKMyAwIG9iago8PCAvTGVuZ3RoIDQgMCBSCiAgIC9GaWx0ZXIgL0ZsYXRlRGVjb2RlCj4+Cn... _WD_Window: {"value":"JVBERi0xLjUKJbXtrvsKMyAwIG9iago8PCAvTGVuZ3RoIDQgMCBSCiAgIC9GaWx0ZXIgL0ZsYXRlRGVjb2RlCj4+Cn... _WD_PrintToPDF ==> Success However, the pdf is still showing black and white. I am not sure if "background" is the right option to choose for Firefox. I even tried "isCssBackgroundEnabled" and the color is still black and white. I would also like to include my original html file in here as well just in case you need it for debugging/testing.
