Tidy is not reading Tidy.ini

Hi @Jos

This morning I started having all sort of problems with Tidy.  It was showing extended messages into the console.  This was happening after I installed latest Beta Version.

So I decided to clean all my AutoIt / Scite installations and reinstall from scratch (current AutoIt 3.3.14.5 version and latest 4.4.6 Scite from AutoIt download web site).

Now Tidy stopped acting crazy, but it seems it doesn't read the Tidy.ini located correctly in my local folder.  When I open Tidy.ini from Scite config tool, it opens properly the file with the right parameters :

backupDir=C:\Apps\AutoIt\Backup
tabchar=2

But when I run tidy, it does not create the backup file in the designed folder, nor that it uses the tabchar value, sending the following message :

---- there is a discrepancy between the ScITE and Tidy settings: -----
>>>           Tidy.ini: tabchar= 0   (use x spaces for indentation ... 0=tabs)
      SciTE properties: use.tabs= 0
---- This could lead to inline comments be wrongly positioned after Tidying the sourcecode

The environment variable points to the right folder :

SCITE_USERHOME=C:\Users\Nine\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\SciTE

Any idea what could be causing it ?

Are you showing the total Tidy.ini file contents or just a part of it?

Could you show me the total SciTE output when running Tidy for SciTE?

Just now, Nine said:

All of it.

Hope not as that isn't a proper INI file. ;)
it requires the Section name:

[ProgramSettings]

I just tried to install latest Beta and the Tidy weird behavior problem reappeared right after.  Simple solution is to reinstall Full Scite Version, and problem is gone...But I don't know what is it in the Beta version that causing it.

You mean you installed the latest autoit3 beta installer to make it fail?

Will try that too when back at my laptop, to see what is happening.

Yes, and if you tidy a file, I believe you will see the strange behavior.

But it is fixed after reinstall of the scite4autoit3 Installer...right?

I do remember fixing something in tidy after the initial release of the package.
