Lion Posted June 7, 2021 Share Posted June 7, 2021 (edited) Hello everyone, Id like to start by telling everyone that im sorry, I just started using autoit, watched some video tutorials but .. still need aloot of time to understand most of the features. So here is what I want to do.. Me and my friends play a game and we are about 40 ppl, I want to make a nice interface in koda where I can do these things : Input something and get a result in the same koda interface from a notepad list. The use of it is team formation, example : I have a notepad with 40 rows and 40 players name. We will roundrobin a number on a website, let's say I type in input window 15.. when I click okay I want to show on same koda interface the number typed and the player who will make first selection in team building. #include <ButtonConstants.au3> #include <EditConstants.au3> #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <StaticConstants.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> #Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form= Global $Form1 = GUICreate("Team Formation", 533, 171, 192, 124) Global $Input1 = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 144, 32, 249, 21) Global $number = GUICtrlCreateLabel("Number", 248, 8, 39, 17) Global $Ok = GUICtrlCreateButton("Ok", 229, 56, 75, 25) Global $Graphic1 = GUICtrlCreateGraphic(16, 64, 152, 96) GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) #EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ### While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Switch $nMsg Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEnd To sum it up. Koda interface with 1 input box and 1 button and something that is able to display the result of the search. A notepad with a list Any number input and by pressing okay button will take info from the notepad and display it in the koda interface built. Here is the koda "" model "" Again im sorry if im asking something impossibile... Edited June 8, 2021 by Melba23 Added code tags Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Moderators Melba23 Posted June 8, 2021 Moderators Share Posted June 8, 2021 Lion, Welcome to the AutoIt forums. When you post code in future please use Code tags - see here how to do it. Then you get a scrolling box and syntax colouring as you can see above now I have added the tags. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. This thread was reported as "game-related" - as far as I can see it deals with selecting teams and not playing the game itself, so i am prepared to let it run for the present. But I suggest that the OP read the Forum rules to make sure he understands the limits we set in the forum. Zedna Posted June 8, 2021 Share Posted June 8, 2021 I'm not sure if I understand your goal correctly, so here is my version: #include <ButtonConstants.au3> #include <EditConstants.au3> #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <StaticConstants.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> Global $file_path = @ScriptDir & '\players.txt' Global $players = StringSplit(FileRead($file_path), @CRLF, 1) #Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form= $Form1 = GUICreate("Team Formation", 533, 171) ;, 192, 124) $Input1 = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 144, 32, 249, 21) GUICtrlCreateLabel("Number", 248, 8, 39, 17) $Ok = GUICtrlCreateButton("Ok", 229, 56, 75, 25) GUICtrlCreateLabel("Name", 248, 100, 39, 17) $nameID = GUICtrlCreateLabel("", 144, 120, 249, 25, $GUI_SS_DEFAULT_LABEL, $WS_EX_CLIENTEDGE) GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) #EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ### While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Switch $nMsg Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit Case $Ok $n = GUICtrlRead($Input1) If $n > 0 And $n <= $players[0] Then $name = $players[$n] Else $name = 'Out of index!'
