Migration from AHK - OSC Support?

Hi, recently AHK received a DLL for OSC Support that works very well and it is very important on my project.

But I'm looking for AHK alternatives due some limitations on it.

I heard about AutoIT and most people say that AutoIT is more complete and easier to work.

The question is: AutoIT has OSC Support? Someone already used it? Can send some sample code?

AutoIt supports access to dll.  You could upload here the dll along with its documentation and we will gladly look at it when you hit a problem with your script.

What limitations did you encounter with AHK? Would suggest that you research to make sure that you won't have same problems with AutoIt.

@NineCan you elaborate on how you came to that conclusion?

Just opening the dll returns an error.  Calling any function returns an error ("unable to use the DLL file").

As long as the required Visual C runtime (vcruntime140_1.dll) can be found, the DLL opens without any errors.

For example:

I'm working on a project that I need to "find" the buttons and fields of a software. But I don't have an API that will return that for me. 

So I use mouse move/click/drag to specific positions.

But this cause another problem: If the person don't use the same resolution/DPI Scale than me, all the positions of the buttons/fields need to be set again because it will be all different.

Maybe AutoIT would have a better option than "fixed specific positions"???

Maybe AutoIT can capture the software buttons/fields?

I don't know, just trying to find a more advanced tool than AHK.

Yes, is the Davinci Resolve.

I already have my software working well, but now with tangent mapper having OSC communication, I'm working on a Version 2.0 of my software.

I don't have a clue about how the DLL actually works or interfaces with an osc-compatible app.  However, the DLL does appear to work within AutoIt.  You will need to do any further translation of the AHK code to AutoIt.  Of course this also implies that you need to learn AutoIt.

Nice! So it works with AutoIT too.

Now I need to learn if AutoIT can do some things as AHK and if I'll like and get used with it as I am with AHK.

I found AutoIT because I saw someone saying that AutoIT was more complete tha AHK tool. And the same person said that the community is more active.

As I can see in this post, at least the second affirmation is true. A lot of answers very fast on my post. At the AHK forum normally take days until someone answer something.
