The issue was that a block of single commentlines also should be folded, and the start of that wasn't detected anymore breaking the folding. You had 2 consecutive commentlines and I only one so that is why it worked for me and not for you.

Should be there now and I was also able to add a test so the folding will never be "negative", this means that an extra #ce will not screw up the folding anymore.

Been thinking a little about your other idea and tested with resetting the LEXER to DEFAULT after it encounters an '=' on a #PreProsessor/#Special keyword and this is the result:

 So basically the lexer is reset and it will try to lex what it finds.
As you can see it will also recognize internal functions and UDFs and color them accordingly.
Even a #cs & #ce will be colored without it having consequences for the rest of the code since it is not the first directive on the line.
Not sure whether it will break anything else yet, so give it a try.

I have made a couple of "big" changes to the lexer to make it a bit more up-to-date, as I wrote this many moons ago and simplified the code somewhat to make things more logical..... So let's see if things still function properly in the day-to-day usage.

Think I found that one...  try current Beta.  

ps: Also disables the EXPAND keywords lexer option for keywords that are in the ABBREVIATIONS table and exits in a Directive line.

Finally got something working that I had on my Wishlist for a while: dynamically  add any defined FUNC name in the current script  to the  au3.keywords.user.udfs list for the period the file is being edited.  I had to make a minor change to SciTE to allow me to do the "reloadproperties:" director command from lua after adding the list of available FUNCs.
The list will be refreshed each time you change FileTab/Save the File/Open a File.

To play with this you need tp update your SciTE.exe and AutoItTools.lua from the Beta directory.

Previously defined function was blue now are brown.

Is that mean that this function is defined only in the currently opened/viewd script ?

How this relates on: au3.userudfs.properties
I fullfill this with:

It adds the current files FUNCs dynamically to that definition.

It used the same as the hardcoded UDFs for the keyword so what you have defined for:

Updated the Dynamic UDFs logic (SciLexer.dll & AutoItTools.lua) a bit which now also allows for a separate textformat with style.au3.17.
it will use style.au3.16 when style.au3.17 isn't defined.

EG: SciTEUser.properties:

#User UDF's
style.au3.16=fore:#0080FF,italics,bold,back:#F0F4F9
#CurrentFile UDF's
style.au3.17=fore:#0080FF,italics,bold,back:#E5E4F0

au3.UserUdfs.properties:

au3.keywords.user.udfs= \
 _testing1 \
 _testing2

Output: As you can see the hardcoded UDFs _Testing1 & _Testing2 have a different background color than the local (Dynamic) UDFs

There is still an folding issue with this example I need to look at:

#EndRegion doesn't properly end the fold in this case and needs an empty line.

The challenge is that SciLexer base code doesn't allow for more than 9 tables and guess what: The au3 lexer is the only one that is using them all, so that means that the Dynamic UDFs are still part of the Fixed UDF table but I add an # character to the end of the Dynamic UDF names, which allows me to distinguish between them in the lexr and assign the new Color Format definition.  

The Folding issue mentioned earlier is resolved in the latest Beta.

In testing your new releases I've noticed that in the released version,
when working with 8 tabs, each tab remembered the cursor position upon reopening Scite.

The new version has been hit n miss for the cursor position on the last open tab upon reopening
but never remembers the cursor position on any of the other tabs.

 

Is there someplace where I can disable the forum double spacing default?
