Flaccid_Jack
Anyone made a UDF or anything for TCP that would help me connect two remote clients together without either one having to foward ports? I searched through forum but couldn't find anything.

I'm not sure how TeamViewer does it, I assumed they used a server or something, but I am very ignorant when it comes to networking. So.. Maybe? Developers Jos Posted October 5, 2020 Developers Share Posted October 5, 2020 (edited) Teamviewer uses a "man-in the-middle" approach, so all clients connect to the Internet Services and that services allows them to communicate. So you will always need an Internet facing server to connect clients, when you want to avoid a port forward to any of the clients. Though, AFAIK, they drop out of the middle, if possible, after establishing a P2P connection between hosts. In that case, it is functionally the same as STUN, and requires no port forwarding, only temporary service. Many public STUN servers exist and are available for this purpose and the aforementioned STUN.udf has several built in to it. I have used it successfully. Code hard, but don’t hard code... Neither require port-forwarding, but the latter is probably not what the OP had in mind. Code hard, but don’t hard code...
