Lonzotwa
I am new to the forum and I did some searching but really didn't find anything to help me design this script. What I am trying to do is create an exe that will close two specific applications if they are running and then close itself. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. I have a programming background that I haven't used in 28 years and it was all old school stuff and none in windows type environment. Just trying to figure out how to get started. argumentum
"What I am trying to do is create an exe that will close two specific applications..." ok ".. if they are running and then close itself" what ? The idea makes no sense to me. Is simple to code stuff of running exe and ProcessClose(), and all that but ... ...maybe you can put it in other words ?. Got it Edited June 26, 2020 by argumentum Follow the link to my code contribution ( and other things too ). FAQ - Please Read Before Posting. argumentum
just use ProcessClose() for those EXE. ; script start ProcessClose("annoying.exe") ProcessClose("thisOneToo.exe") ; script end Follow the link to my code contribution ( and other things too ). Lonzotwa
this exe will be activated. The two programs may or may not be running based on different situations. If the two programs are running, I need them to close. That is the extent of the app so i'm not sure if it would normally close because it was done or sit in the task manager "activated". The app may need to be called again at a later time and will need to run again and close those two apps if they are open.
