Purity8 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 (edited) This topic is different from the "Are my EXE's infected?". From MalwareBytes, none of my scripts were flagged. However, inside AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\Aut2Exe folder, there's a file called '~AUBCF.tmp.exe'. This file was flagged as Malware as the screenshot attached shows. Edited June 15, 2020 by Purity8
Danp2 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Don't see how this is really different. That's just a temp file from the Aut2Exe process, and it's best to exclude that directory from any virus scanning. Latest Webdriver UDF Release Webdriver Wiki FAQs
Purity8 Posted June 15, 2020 Author Posted June 15, 2020 From my understanding, "My Exe's" refers to the exe's compiled in 32/64bit that we create ourselves. Anyhow, thanks. I've added folder to exceptions.
Developers Jos Posted June 15, 2020 Developers Posted June 15, 2020 (edited) This really has been mentioned many times but here goes: aut2exe is creating a temp file in that directory and then updates the PE header with information. Often the AV software sees this an illegal activity... hence the solution to exclude the temp directory used by aut2exe.
