how to Expand GUI or restart script? what is best practice

I am trying to make something Simular - He made a countdown for example a game Release

I am on the other hand trying to make a Chess timer clock kinda thing and although I have not programmed for many years and was always a beginner level I am getting semi along and I think I need to tackle 3 hurdles about GUI issue, I will be only asking one question only

I am trying to make my as example as simpel as possible
I have a chessclock timer(with 7 buttons for control such as restart - settings - delete - pause etc)  and

I have a button to add a extra Chessclock with the the same amount buttons for that individual clock (so lets say running 4-5 at the same time)

Going from 1 to 2 clocks etc, what is the best practice to keep in mind to make this as efficient and as best practice as possible?  

Nobody has to write me any code or help.. I just need a direction or a link  please what I should focus on to make it efficient and do not mess up my the ID_ of $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()

But as argumentum says above, posting some code and explaining what does not work might well enable us to give some better focused help.

@argumentum I do have to agree with you, but I find it very hard to express my problem and my code was such a mess that I was embarrassed to publish and it would have caused you big helpers probrably a headache
