Skysnake
@Melba23, @Chimp thank you. Interesting reading. While out walking the dog, I thought about my comment about "not Global" and I came to the conclusion that that would be close to impossible. What I was not think about is how the parent script would know which child control in each child GUI had been accessed... So just ignore that thoughtless comment from me... Specific implementations are always unique, but assume something like a reporting system (examples on tracking computers attached to a LAN abound). Now by extension, simply consider opening a child on demand gui each time a user selects a specific item from the main parent gui. The implementation under discussion would then allow multiple similar windows to open, each updated with it's own data in real time. Easy example, and readily understood. Last point. What is this? I understand it is not multi-threading, I merely think that what many people think of as multi threading is actually what we are discussing. Should this properly be called an on demand child gui? or a reusable gui? I do not have the knowledge or insight to contribute. Skysnake Skysnake Why is the snake in the sky?
