Interrupt with X of the GUI?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have read the tutorial "Interrupt a running function" but the goal i want is interrupt a running function without another button, but with $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE. Seems not possible, the message not work in that case? Or i miss something?

Thanks for the help

HeyTom,

You should be able to intercept the [X] press by looking for the $SC_CLOSE message ($wParam = 0xF060) in a _WM_SYSCOMMAND handler.

I suppose you are inside another loop of the GUI loop, right ?  If that the case, you could also use :

If GUIGetMsg () = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Then Exit

Put that somewhere in the second loop.  If M23's or my solution don't work, provide code, so we don't have to guess...
