nitinsalvi Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 (edited) I have a Thinkpad X61 with a bum battery. It started to fail a couple of years ago, but I wasn't using my laptop nearly so much, so I never replaced it. real estate marketing consultants Turns about, about the time my battery was going, Lenovo issued a warranty extension for X61 batteries. It wasn't a recall, and not paying attention, I missed the window. IMHO, it should have been a recall, but anyway. flats in mahim I'm needing to dust off the laptop again. So, does it make much of a difference where I buy the battery from? Do I buy from Lenovo? Ebay? NewEgg? I don't want to get stuck with another bum one. 2 bhk flat in keshav nagar pune Edited February 13, 2020 by nitinsalvi

Earthshine Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 (edited) yep, use Tom's Hardware for that stuff https://forums.tomshardware.com/whats-new/ register for free with email or other means It all depends on where you are located in the world where you would go to buy. but use Tom's to figure out what to get in the first place. I would just get real OEM battery, if I had a Dell, then get a Dell, or HP, get HP replacement parts. you have Lenovo, you can just order parts from Amazon Edited February 11, 2020 by Earthshine My resources are limited.
