Trying unsuccesfully to send "\\"

I am populating a field with a file name.  For security, the file name is changed in the following line of code, but otherwise, this is my code:

$FileName = "\\999.9.9.9\FolderName\SubfolderName\FileName.txt"
opt('SendKeyDelay',200) ;This helped solve another problem I was having
send($FileName,1) ;When done without the "1" parameter I was having other problems with some keystrokes not going through

When I run the script, the first two back slash characters are missing, and it fills the field with "999.9.9.9\FolderName\SubfolderName\FileName.txt"

How do I get AutoIt to include the first two back slash characters?

Why are you using Send, what are you sending the keystrokes to?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I have an accounting program (very old technology).  The script runs a report, and attempts to export the report to a file.  The field I am trying to send to is used to specify the name of the file where the export is destined.

The accounting program is AMS (Advanced Management Systems) and is specific to the wine industry.

I would try using the Au3Info program to see if you can get the control ID (you want the Edit, not the combo box if it's a Save as window). Then you can use something like this: (replacing/setting the variables)

; Wait for the Save As window to exist
Local $hWnd = WinWait("WindowTitleHere", "", 10)
If $hWnd = 0 Then Exit MsgBox(0, "Save As Missing", "Couldn't find Save as in 10 seconds!")

; Set the text of the Edit control directly
ControlSetText($hWnd, "", $editIdHere, $yourFilePath)
; Click the Save button
ControlClick($hWnd, "", $saveBttnIdHere)

All my code provided is Public Domain... but it may not work. ;) Use it, change it, break it, whatever you want.
