Skip clipboards that aren't text based

HI all,

I'm having trouble with clipboard management. I've narrowed down the code I'm using below. It works well for what I need, however I'm having side effects in which I am unable to cut, copy, or do any file management while the script is running. How would I identify that a file/file handle or even non-text is in the clipboard and skip clipboard modification?

Thanks!

Local $Clip[2] = [Null, Null]

While True
    If _IsChecked($hClipboard) Then
        If ClipGet() = $Clip[1] Then ContinueLoop
        $Clip[0] = _ClipBoard_GetData($CF_UNICODETEXT)
        $Clip[1] = _ClipBoard_GetData($CF_TEXT)
        Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2)
        Select
            ; Unrelated Code to modify the existing clipboard
        EndSelect
        _ClipBoard_SetData($Clip[0])
        $Clip[1] = ClipGet()
    EndIf
WEnd

My UDFs are generally for me. If they aren't updated for a while, it means I'm not using them myself. As soon as I start using them again, they'll get updated.

Maybe add a HotKeySet to toggle the $hClipboard (or a pause func), to stop the script while you are manipulating the clipboard ?

There is also this function : _ClipBoard_EnumFormats

Never mind. I've found the solution.  _ClipBoard_GetPriorityFormat() can be used for what I'm looking for.

Local $Clip[2] = [Null, Null]
Local $aFormats[2] = [$CF_TEXT, $CF_UNICODETEXT]

While True
    If _IsChecked($hClipboard) Then
        If ClipGet() = $Clip[1] Then ContinueLoop
        If _ClipBoard_GetPriorityFormat($aFormats) = -1 Then ContinueLoop
        $Clip[0] = _ClipBoard_GetData($CF_UNICODETEXT)
        $Clip[1] = _ClipBoard_GetData($CF_TEXT)
        Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2)
        Select
            ; Unrelated Code
        EndSelect
        _ClipBoard_SetData($Clip[0])
        $Clip[1] = ClipGet()
    EndIf
WEnd

Place $CF_UNICODETEXT first to keep away of unwanted conversion.
