controlclick continue button for security error.

Recommended Posts

I have a script that clicks the continue button when applying NTFS permissions if an error pops up. This works for for server 2003 and 2008 r2. I'm trying to use it on Windows server 2016 and it brings up the window, but for some reason can't click the continue button. I'm not advanced in regards to scripting.  Thank you in advance.

#include <MsgBoxConstants.au3>

While True

;Check to see if window exists
If WinExists("Error Applying Security") Then
   WinActivate("Error Applying Security")
   Sleep(125)
   WinActivate("Error Applying Security")
   ControlClick("Error Applying Security", "", "[CLASS:Button; Instance:1]")
Else

EndIf

WEnd

Just incase anyone else is screaming into the void with the exact same problem wondering what resolved this issue for 'thewhokid':

Add #RequireAdmin to the top of your script; the continue button for the NTFS security rights application requires elevation.
