HankD
I'm having a problem that I can't seem to troubleshoot or find an answer to searching the forums/net. If I run code in autoit's Scite Lite (Tools -> Go(F5)) and let it run for an extended period of time 1-2 hours plus. It will automatically end it self even if it's running an infinite loop. Why is this? Is it a safety feature of scite detecting a script has gone on for "too long"? Here is my test code. While 1 Sleep(10) Wend If I compile and run it as an exe this doesn't seem to happen. What if run it this way? AutoIt3_x64.exe script.au3 Thank you for your time! Edited May 14, 2019 by HankD

I've used autoit for years and this isn't the first time I've had this happen but I never felt compelled enough to post asking for help. Lookup AV logs and try disabling it. I do use eset nod32 antivirus. (for personal reasons) It doesn't detect autoit by it self as a false flag threat, like some others AV do. But it does have idle detection of sorts. I'll try disabling it and testing to see if the problem persists.
jchd
I'm also a user of Eset and never had any issue with it. I also several times had long-running (hours) scripts launched from Scite and never encountered the same spurious termination.
