Skysnake
Would somebody please be so kind as to explain this to me? _GUICtrlRichEdit_GetCharWordBreak() The two functions appear redundant? But what is the purpose of the funtion? I don't see any output other than the RTF control? 🙄 Skysnake Why is the snake in the sky?
Moderators Melba23 Posted May 6, 2019 Moderators Share Posted May 6, 2019 Skysnake, Not sure why you posted this in the "Help file FAQs" thread - seems a stand-alone question to me. To reply, the function appears to offer a guide as to whether the current cursor position is a suitable place to break a line - although quite why this would be useful I am not sure. And I agree that the 2 additional functions appear to have no function (pun intended). Skysnake
Run the Help File example. What does it do? If it's supposed to show the actual 'break points', where does it do that? And how can that information be captured? All I see is an RTF control with text in it. A little guidance here is appreciated Skysnake Why is the snake in the sky? BrewManNH
Underneath the rich edit control is a label and a button, as you click the Next button, the label updates with the wordbreak info as described in the help file, you'll see ";#" where that indicates its a character class, or you'll see a c, d, or w which indicates what type of word break character the cursor is currently on.
