Xesh
Hello, I've just started learning autoIT and been doing some excercises. However i came accross to an issue: I can't figure out how to sum up two randomly generated numbers with equals or minus sign. I've tried using below shown code, however it looks like the objects taken are set as string and thats why i can't sum those two numbers. Can someone asssist with converting those objects as integers? Or find another way of summing up? $oSearchInput = _IEGetObjById($oIExplorer, "number") Local $oSearchInputNum1 = _IEGetObjById($oIExplorer, "Num1") Local $oSearchInputSymbol = _IEGetObjByName($oIExplorer, "symbol") Local $oSearchInputNum2 = _IEGetObjById($oIExplorer, "Num2") Local $SUM $SUM = $oSearchInputNum1 + $oSearchInputSymbol + $oSearchInputNum2 _IEFormElementSetValue($oSearchInput, $SUM ) Thank you in advance! BrewManNH
Taking a guess here, but this might work for you. $oSearchInput = _IEGetObjById($oIExplorer, "number") Local $oSearchInputNum1 = Number(_IEGetObjById($oIExplorer, "Num1")) ; or use Int() if all you want is integers Local $oSearchInputSymbol = _IEGetObjByName($oIExplorer, "symbol") Local $oSearchInputNum2 = Number(_IEGetObjById($oIExplorer, "Num2")); same as above Local $SUM $SUM = Execute($oSearchInputNum1 & $oSearchInputSymbol & $oSearchInputNum2) _IEFormElementSetValue($oSearchInput, $SUM ) Untested (and untestable) If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. M23 This isn't CAPTCHA, it's an html file that generates two random numbers from 0-9. Unfortunatelly i can't share this link since it's supposed to be used only for employees of workplace im in. Moderators Melba23 Posted April 29, 2019 Moderators Share Posted April 29, 2019 Xesh, An employee site? So why do you need to extract the values from the page source code? Moderators Melba23 Posted May 1, 2019 Moderators Share Posted May 1, 2019 (edited) Xesh, Ah, the old "learning to script" excuse - well, you have used that one now, so do not try it again. M23 Edit: The OP provided a copy of the page in question and I am happy that all was in order - so I withdraw my comment above. Could I please point out to all reading that being open with the Mod team when they ask questions means that we can hopefully avoid situations like this, leading to a more relaxed and enjoyable time for everyone concerned.
