yyywww
ConsoleWrite(_test(1 or 2 or "asdf") & @CRLF) func _test($_var) if IsString($_var) then return 1 return 0 endfunc So if ANY of the 3 parameters is a string, I want to return 1. Can I do this in one step, without using the function _test three times?

yyywww
I am only using this _test() function as an example. The function that I want to apply it to is longer than just one IsString check. I thought it would be easier to convey my question if I used a simplified example. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted February 13, 2019 Moderators Share Posted February 13, 2019 And you got a good response based on that simplified example. If the response doesn't fit your needs, you need to employ an example that more accurately describes what you are attempting to accomplish. "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. Nine
You could also use a function with default param like Func _test ($p1, $p2 = 0, $p3 = 0, $p4 = 0, $p5 = 0, $p6 = 0, $p7 = 0, $p8 = 0, $p9 = 0) return (isString ($p1) or isString ($p2) or isString ($p3) or isString ($p4) or isString ($p5) or isString ($p6) or isString ($p7) or _ isString ($p8) or isString ($p9)) EndFunc yyywww 1 “They did not know it was impossible, so they did it” ― Mark Twain Spoiler Block all input without UAC Save/Retrieve Images to/from Text Monitor Management (VCP commands) Tool to search in text (au3) files Date Range Picker Virtual Desktop Manager Sudoku Game 2020 Overlapped Named Pipe IPC HotString 2.0 - Hot keys with string x64 Bitwise Operations Multi-keyboards HotKeySet Recursive Array Display Fast and simple WCD IPC Multiple Folders Selector Printer Manager GIF Animation (cached) Screen Scraping Multi-Threading Made Easy
